As part of the property revaluation process, randomly selected properties may be visited by both the Town’s assessing contractor and a representative from the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration (DRA) as part of the review and verification process.
Currently, the Town’s overall assessed values are estimated to be at approximately 60% of market value. Residents should expect assessed property values to increase as part of the revaluation process. However, the tax rate is expected to decrease accordingly to reflect the updated assessments.
Residents should not estimate future tax bills by applying the current 2025 tax rate to new assessed values, as the tax rate will be recalculated following completion of the revaluation.
Supervisor of the Checklist Session Notice
New Hampshire law requires that the Supervisors of the Checklist verify the checklist every year. Any person on the checklist who has not voted in the past five years must re-register to remain on the checklist, unless the voter registered after the last state general election. The supervisors are sending notice letters to these voters at the address the voter provided when registering.
The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Westmoreland will hold two sessions for
re-registering voters who have not voted since April 1, 2021, accepting applications for new voter registration, accepting requests for the correction of the checklist, and/or change of political party affiliation on:
Date: May 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM
Date: July 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM
Westmoreland Town Hall, 780 Route 63
Voters may check party affiliation online:

Applicants for registration who possess proof of identity, age, citizenship, and domicile should bring that proof when they come to register.
